  Hard Bar

Want a stiff ride? Here is the simple, no bulls*** way to increase the stiffness of your chassis.

Having a stiff chassis is one sure fire way to improve the whole dynamics of a vehicle. Steering response and feel is improved, grip on the front and rear is increased and general stability of the car is totally improved. Due to the strut braces evenly distributing grip between both wheels, there is an increased tyre print and therefore the suspension can work to its maximum capacity and design, as can the brakes, wheels and tyres. After having driven the car around now for some time, the whole handling and general character of the car have totally changed. The 180SX now feels like a much more capable, predictable and chuckable car. Hot4s can’t wait to throw it around a track in the near future. The best thing about this upgrade is the total ease of installation of the Whiteline Front Strut Brace. With the expert assistance of Jim, Wojtek, and Wayne at Whiteline Suspension we are able to provide a complete rundown of the simple steps which are needed to install this quality and cheap item into your engine bay.

Step 1:
Unbolt the nuts sitting atop the strut. Place them in a spot that you won’t lose them or forget them!

Step 2 :
Test fit the strut brace. Slot the screws into the provided holes on the mounting plates of the brace. Make sure it is a comfortable but snug fit. Adjust length of strut brace if necessary.

Step 3 :
Replace bolts loosely.

Step 4 :
Make sure the brace is securely attached to the mounting plates.

Step 5 :
Tighten bolts on mounting plates.

Step 6 :
Re-adjust length and setting of the strut bar so that it is as even and secure as possible.

Step 7 :
Double check all bolts are secure and tight and then enjoy it.
