SAINTS ROW REVIEW

FORMAT: Xbox 360
MAKER: THQ
REVIEW: BRENDAN MAYS

Get ready to pimp your ride and anything else that moves in this hot new title from THQ. Saints Row fits into the Grand Theft Auto genre and, in fact, you could be forgiven for confusing the two. Just like GTA, you have a virtual world to explore where you can rob, shoot, pimp or simply destroy anything you can get your hands on while fighting for domination of the criminal underworld. However, some awesome new features in Saints Row ‘keep it real’.

Now, you can customise everything from the way your homies look to the paintjob on your ride. Head over to the local mod shop ‘Rim Jobs’ (don’t ask what the restaurant is called) to fit bodykits, wheels, airbrushing and even hydraulics to your car. Don’t worry about finances. You can get the cash robbing a store downtown, or after throwing yourself of a bridge to commit insurance fraud.

If this gets boring, try out the online multiplayer modes. Our personal favourite was ‘Big-Ass Chains’, where you fight other players for their very Mr T-type ‘bling’.

Although similar to GTA, if you want to take advantage of better graphics and in-game depth, then Saints Row will not disappoint.
